Piano Quintet in E-flat Major by R. Schumann
This is one of my all time favorite. It begins with a sparkling spirit with uplifting exhilaration, which comes back in the last movement. Very very romantic work which is triumphant and sensitive, just like Schumann.
French Suite No.1 in d minor, BWV 812
I did not understand those suites in minor when I was younger. One day, I realized how elegent they are. Pretty minor tunes are cute. It suites the begning of a beautiful snowy frigidly cold day.
This one features a French style Courante.
In terms of performance, I still love to listening Andras Shiff's Bach.
